Fresno Fire Captain Critically Burned in House Fire Sunday

On Sunday, March 29th, 25 year veteran Fresno (CA) Fire Department Fire Captain, Pete Dern was rescued by fellow firefighters after falling through a burning roof at the scene of a house fire. Fire Captain Pete Dern was transported to the hospital in critical condition after suffering second and third degree burns on at least 65 percent of his body. Contra Costa County Fire Hires Laid Off Firefighters from San Jose and Stockton

Two Residents Rescued from Burning Home in Concord - Official Press Release from CCCFPD Fire Marshal

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a fire in a single family home in the 3700 block of Bon Homme Way in Concord at 1:30am this morning. While responding, fire crews were advised of occupants still inside the structure.
