Contra Costa County Fire Hires Laid Off Firefighters from San Jose and Stockton

Contra Costa County Fire Protection District has hired laid off firefighters from San Jose and Stockton Fire Departments in 2011.  Watch a recent video piece from the CCCFPD Fire Chief Daryl Louder and Local 1230 President Vince Wells about how these two fire academies of laid off firefighters has alleviated some mandatory staffing problems and has reduced costs in the training of these firefighters.
